Established in 1980 through an inter-church initiative and alliance with Mendham Borough, Mendham Area Senior Housing Corporation, (MASH) is a non-profit corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. MASH's mission is to provide affordable housing for seniors and adults with disabilities. The vast majority of MASH residents qualify for Federal assistance with their rent. As a federal housing provider, we abide by the policies and practices contained in the USDA Non-Discrimination Statement.
In addition to our affordable housing program, we operate the Mendham Area Senior Transportation Services (MAST) from our offices at 1 Heritage Manor Drive in Mendham, NJ. We provide scheduled rides to doctor appointments or grocery shopping for MASH and other senior and disabled adult residents of Mendham Borough and Mendham Township.
Here at MASH, we believe that ongoing community interaction and support is vital for our residents. MASH works cooperatively with houses of worship, schools, and clubs to welcome a variety of activities such as senior dinners, exercise classes, yoga, bingo, student and scout visits, fellowship hour, and Meals on Wheels services.
We welcome volunteers and donations to aid with programs and the maintenance of our facility.
Mendham Area Senior Housing is an equal housing opportunity provider. We are free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, and more.
MASH is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines.
