Mendham Area Senior Housing Corporation (MASH) in Mendham, New Jersey is a 40-unit apartment community providing subsidized rents for qualified tenants in 35 of those units. MASH is funded by USDA Rural Development.
Established in 1980 through an inter-church initiative and alliance with Mendham Borough, MASH is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation managed by 2 staff members and governed by a Board of Trustees.
We work cooperatively with the individual houses of worship, schools, and clubs to provide a variety of support activities such as senior dinners, exercise classes, yoga, bingo, student and scout visits, fellowship hour, and Meals on Wheels services.
We believe that ongoing community interaction and support is important for our project as well as for our individual residents. We encourage citizens to become annual members of the corporation and welcome their personal and financial support.
MASH is conveniently located right next door to the King's shopping center and our MASH bus and van provide transportation for any Mendham seniors for shopping, doctor appointments, and other needs in up to four contiguous towns on a scheduled basis.
